Not a class. A mentor.

Study Mentorship

Guidance from someone who has been through it themselves.

Study Mentorship is not a weekly class. It pairs your child with a dedicated mentor, a psychology professional who recently went through the same schooling and exams as our students, through occasional workshops and one-on-one meetings booked whenever they are needed. The focus is study habits, time management and discipline, so the work students do in subject tutoring actually sticks.

Your mentor

Guidance from someone who has actually been there

Mentorship at ACE is led by a psychology professional who went through the same schooling, the same exams and the same slumps, then came out the other side. The advice is grounded in psychology and in lived experience, which is why students take it.

Goal Setting

One-on-one, when it is needed

Mentor meetings are booked through the ACE Portal, not locked to a weekly slot.

When students book

The moments a mentor meeting actually helps

Meetings are requested through the ACE Portal. There is no set schedule, so students come in when something needs sorting.

1

When motivation drops off

The plan looked fine in January and stopped happening by March. A mentor meeting resets it around what the student is actually willing to do.

2

When the timetable is full

Five subjects, work shifts, sport and family. Mentors map the week honestly so study blocks land where there is real time.

3

Before a heavy SAC or exam block

A short planning session turns a wall of content into a dated, ordered list with revision techniques attached to each item.

4

When results do not match the effort

Hours are going in and nothing is moving. Mentors look at how the student studies, not just how long.

Workshops

Small group sessions, a few times a year

Workshops run at points in the calendar where they matter most, usually at the start of term and before exam blocks.

Focus and procrastination

Why starting is the hard part, and the techniques that get students past the first ten minutes.

Planning a term

Turning a school assessment calendar into weekly study blocks that survive a busy fortnight.

Revision that works

Active recall, spacing and practice papers, taught with the students' own subjects on the table.

Exam-period nerves

Practical routines for sleep, pacing and staying steady across a run of exams.

Workshop afternoons

Small groups, practical techniques, students bring their real subjects.
